Nelida Antoinette Cota

Nelida Antoinette Cota, 102, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (April 11, 2018) at Greystone Health & Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge. She was born October 28, 1915 in St. Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of the late Antoine and Julie (Levesque) Bellefleur. Mrs. Cota was a member of Christ Our Light Parish and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella in Limestone, Maine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Richard Cota, whom she married on November 21, 1933; her daughter, Helene Sylvia Palmer; her son, Norman Albert Cota; her grandson, Richard Palmer; ten brothers, Edmond, Treffle, Francois, Wall, Leonard, Herbert, Donat, Ulderic, Albert, and Alfred; and four sisters, Alma, Lisianne, Alfreda, and Bertha. She is survived by two sons, Vernon Gilbert Cote of Woodland Hills CA and Wallace "James" (Susan) Cota of Norton; her daughter-in-law, Carol Cota of Byesville; ten grandchildren, Rance (Keiko) Palmer, Kimberly (Floyd) May, Denise (Gib) Terrell, Thomas (Cathy) Cota, Cheryl Cota, Kent Cote, Casey (Annie) Cote, Michael Cota, Melinda Lytton, and Nicholas Cota; thirteen great-grandchildren, Dr. Susan (Shawn) Monahan, Antionette Palmer, Sarah Palmer, Jason (Andrea) May, Trever Terrell, Derek (Nicole) Terrell, Dallas (Melisa) Terrell, Brandon (Atalie) Zimmerman, Tyler Cota, Brooke Lytton, Brittany Lytton, Julia Cote, and Emma Cote; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren, Nylah, Nashton, and Nolan Monahan, Justice, Cameron, Madison, and Mason May, Madilyn, Olivia, Jesica, and Zackery Terrell, and Sabella and Duke Zimmerman. Visitation will be held Saturday (April 14, 2018) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will follow Saturday (April 14, 2018) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge.
