Nora Gress, 83, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 23, 2013) at her home. She was born February 16, 1930 in Pursglove WV, daughter of the late Fred Norman and Minnie (Strakel) Norman. Mrs. Gress formerly worked for the Cambridge City Schools. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends. She was a 1948 graduate of Pleasant City High School. Mrs. Gress was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len Gress, who died August 31, 1998. They were married April 30, 1949. Also deceased is a son, Lenny Gress; a brother, John Norman; and a granddaughter, Stefany Wycoff. She is survived by her children, Karen S. (Bob) Prouty of Hilliard, Sallie (Michael) St. Clair of Cambridge, Mary Ann (Joe) Wycoff of Westerville, and Tom (Kathleen) Gress of Peachtree City, Ga.; two brothers, Fred (Annabelle) Norman of Lakewood and Don (Doris) Norman of Pleasant City; and her grandchildren, Jon Michael (Karen) St. Clair of Cambridge, Karen Reed of Cambridge, Alex St. Clair of Jackson Hole, Wyo., Bethany Wayt of Hilliard, Bridgett (Jamie) McCutcheon of South Vienna, Chad (Jennifer) Wycoff of Pickerington, Amy Gress of Peachtree City, Ga., and Emily (Brandon) Taylor of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Chrissy St. Clair, Shelby and Brian Doane, Clayton Jackson and Mylee Reed, Marli, Max and Maci Wayt, Logan and Evan Wycoff, Bodi and Harper McCutcheon; a great-great-granddaughter, Molly Pyers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. No calling hours will be observed. Following cremation, a memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
