Ottilie Carter

Ottilie Reidman Carter passed away peacefully Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Hoover Haus in Grove City, Ohio.

She was born in Germany on February 27, 1927, to the late Adreas and Rosa (Deissenberger) Reidman,

She is preceded in death by her husband Frank (Junior) Carter, her brothers, and a stepson, Randy Carter.

Ottilie is survived by her family in Germany, two stepdaughters; Sandy and Julie, seven step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, all of Florida. Also left to cherish her memory are her two sisters-in-law; one in Germany and Edith Carter, and her special niece and nephew; Connie and Kevin Carter of Grove City.

She came to America as a young adult, working first in Canada before coming to Dayton, Ohio. She was a seamstress and met her husband in Dayton.

A special thanks to Quinten and Rosemary Smith and the staff at Hoover Haus for the excellent care they provided the last two years.

There will be a graveside service on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Pigsah Cemetery, Pastor Karen Rawlings will be officiating.
