Pastor Kenneth Randall Swartz, 58, of Senecaville, entered fully into the presence of the Lord and Savior on Sunday (July 29, 2018)

He was born February 28, 1960, the son of late Richard "Dick" Swartz and Shirley Potts Swartz.

Pastor Swartz was a long-time resident of Senecaville. He was the pastor and founder of Seed Ministries Outreach.

Pastor Swartz enjoyed reading his Bible and raising his granddaughter. He loved spending time with his friends and family and enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed pastoring at First Baptist Church in Byesville.

Pastor Swartz will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 34 years, Carmen Swartz; along with his children, Adam Swartz, Ashley (Brandt) Stewart, Autumn (Scott) Black, Alex and Anthony Swartz. In addition, God also blessed Pastor Swartz with eight grandchildren: Jahvaun and Jahyden Black, Madison and Christopher Stewart, Aleciah and Adalee Swartz, and two grandchildren which carry on his name, Carmen Elaine Randi Black and Grayson Kenneth Stewart; his mother, Shirley Swartz Senecaville; sisters, Karen Swartz, Carol and Robin Woods of Cincinnati, Mary and Willie Daniels of Cambridge, Melissa and Garry Sturtz of New Concord; two brothers, Rick and Vicki Swartz of Columbus, Jeff and Angela Swartz of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Serena Earley, Goldie Simpson, Andrea and Troy McElroy, Vicki and Terry Dennis Bobby Wolverton of Cambridge, Faith and Chuck Donohoe of Lore City, Irene Martain of Columbus, Cheryl Berg, Cindy and Thomas Harding of Byesville, and Veronica Reeve of Tennessee; brothers-in-law Dion Earley, Ira Wolverton, Ethan Wolverton, Chris Wolverton, Mike Wolverton Sr., James Logwood Jr., and JP Logwood of Cambridge; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Pastor Kenneth Swartz was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dick Swartz; his mother- and father-in-law Sylvania and Fred Wolverton, James F. Logwood; a nephew, Paul Swartz; a niece, Tiffany Woods; his in-laws, Sue Byaid, David Wolverton, Tim Wolverton, Steve Wolverton, Benny Wolverton, and Ricky Wolverton. Pastor Swartz had close special friends, Jimmy Wertz, Mike Bargo, and Henry Thomas.

Visitation will be held Friday (August 3, 2018) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Saturday (August 4, 2018) at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kenneth R. Swartz Fund at Huntington Bank of Byesville.
