Patricia "Patty" L. Morgan

Patricia L. "Patty" Morgan, 71, of Cambridge, died Friday (April 29, 2011) at her residence. She was born Oct. 27, 1939, in Canton, daughter of the late Walter Leroy and Lucille I. (Hackley) Bennett. Mrs. Morgan was a retired operator for GTE Phone Co. where she was employed for 30 years. She was a life member of the VFW Post 2901 Ladies Auxiliary. As a member, she always helped with the food stand at the fair. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney T. Morgan, whom she married Feb. 27, 1960 and who died in 1989; and a brother, Donald Bennett. She is survived by two sons, Keith (Darleen) Morgan of Memphis, Tenn. and Scott (Sherry) Morgan of Dayton; a daughter, Debra (Rod) Walz of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Roger (Nancy) Bennett of Coshocton; a sister, Joan Hamme of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Curt (Lyndsey) Morgan of Pataskala, Jason Morgan of Marietta, Angela (Mike Morris) Eynon of Byesville, Vanessa Eynon of Cambridge, Jeremy (Dulcee)) Morgan of Dayton, Alissa (Skyler Campbell) of Dayton; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday (May 3, 2011) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dail Parrish officiating.
