Paul V. Sramcik, 85, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (December 24, 2014) peacefully at his home. He was born August 8, 1929, son of the late Vendel Sramcik and Christina (Kurtik) Sramcik. Mr. Sramcik retired from Champion Spark Plug where he had been an electrician. He was also one of the founding members of The Champion Federal Credit Union. He was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. Mr. Sramcik was a US Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Louise (Kurth) Sramcik, who died September 12, 2006. They were married on June 11, 1966. Also deceased is a daughter, Renee Sramcik; and an infant son, Paul Edward Sramcik. He is survived by a daughter, Denise Christine Sramcik; a sister, Wilma Cleveland of California; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be held Friday (January 2, 2015) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1 p.m. with Father Paul Hrezo officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council at the conclusion of the Mass. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Countryview Assisted Living Center, 62825 County Home Road, Lore City OH 43755.
