Paul L. Stickley, 77, of Quaker City, died Monday (October 20, 2014) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born February 17, 1937 in Wilkes Barre PA, son of the late Alan Stickley and Emily Lydia (Brown) Stickley. Mr. Stickley was a machinist at Canton Timken Works for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the Cambridge Masonic Lodge # 66 F & AM. Mr. Stickley was a veteran of both the Navy and the Army. He was a member of the Barnesville VFW. He was Baptist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Marie (Stone) Stickley, who died November 25, 2009. They were married on May 28, 1958. Also deceased is a daughter, Patricia Otto. He is survived by four sons, John P. (& Lori) Stickley of Salesville, William D. (& Gail) Stickley of Canton, David C. (& Cinda) Stickley of Salesville, and Howard A. (& Carol) Stickley of Quaker City; a daughter, Eva L. (& Dan) Martin of Canton; two brothers, James (& Lynn) Stickley of Florida and Tim (& Tracy) Stickley of Michigan; a sister, Rebecca (& Gerald) Conner of Michigan; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his beloved dog, Dippy, and his twenty-three pound cat, Biggy. Visitation will be held Friday (October 24, 2014) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Masonic services and military honors will also be conducted. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, at a later date.
