Paul J. Williams, 65, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (February 25, 2014) at University Hospital Case Medical Center, Cleveland. He was born October 25, 1948 in Philadelphia PA, son of the late Earl Williams and Anne (Rodgers) Williams. Mr. Williams had worked at NCR and later retired from the Cambridge Auto Zone Store, where he had been a clerk. He was Catholic by Faith. Mr. Williams was a US Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Cambridge Eagles Aerie 386, where he enjoyed playing pool with his friends. He also enjoyed fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Amber (& Scott) Laird of Cambridge; a sister, Bernadette "Bernie" Brown of Pittsburgh PA; and seven grandchildren, Austin Hunter, Brayley Fannin, Breeanna Goodman, Ryleigh Goodman, Tanisen Barr, Cody Laird, and Joshua Laird. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Monday (March 3, 2014) at 1 p.m. with Jim Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
