Paul Harold Winland Jr.

Paul Harold Winland Jr., 67, of Byesville OH and formerly of Texas, died Sunday (October 24, 2021) at Genesis Hospital, Zanesville.

He was born December 12, 1953 in Caldwell, son of Ardith (Roe) Winland and the late Paul Harold Winland Sr.

Mr. Winland lived and worked for forty years in Beaumont TX where he met the love of his life, Donna Marie Dyson Winland.  He then retired to Trinity TX.  Donna Winland preceded him in death in 2019, after which Mr. Winland decided to move back to Ohio in April 2021.

Mr. Winland cherished spending time with his mother, brothers, sisters, and family.  He showed his loved and kindness to family, friends, and everyone he met.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

Mr. Winland attended the Palestine Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving mother, Ardith (Roe) Winland of Salesville; three brothers, Edwin Winland of Salesville, John (Carol) Winland of Salesville, and Kevin (Dawn) Winland of Byesville; three sisters, Bonnie (Larry) Boggs of Concord NC, Mary Stevens of Lore City, and Beth (Mitchell) Matyas of Cataula GA; a brother-in-law, Eddie Dyson of Trinity TX; a sister-in-law, Carol Cope of Trinity TX; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, on Monday (November 1, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with John Keith officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Burial will immediately follow at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
