Paulette Sue Smith

Paulette Sue (Hickman) Smith, 67, of Quaker City, passed away Monday (April 29, 2013) at her home after a prolonged illness. She was born June 25, 1945 in Parkersburg WV, daughter of the late Victor Hickman and Pauline (Lott) Hickman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Charles Smith; a brother, Richard "Wayne" Hickman; and a sister, Peggy (Hickman) Gentry. She is survived by her caregiver and life partner, Frank Gatewood; a brother, Paul Gordon & Donna Hickman; three sons, Ron & Donna Smith, Brian & Lynn Smith, Paul Jason & Theresa Smith; a daughter, Martha (Smith) & Paul Fortner; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed. A graveside service will be held Friday (May 3, 2013) at 2 p.m. at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
