Pauline (Oliver) Smith, 97, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at the Cambridge Place.

She was born May 18, 1925, in Guernsey County, a daughter of the late Cletis and Lela Mae (Hartup) Oliver.

Pauline was a lifelong member of the Birmingham UMC, the WSCS for 15 years, and was a member of the Modern Woodman of America. She was a lifelong farmer with her husband and loved going to auctions. Pauline especially enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, gardening, taking care of animals, raising chickens, selling eggs, and baked an amazing angel food cake and tapioca pudding.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Smith, who passed away on November 30, 1999, and her two brothers, Harold and Ronnie.

Pauline is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Marie Oliver of Cambridge, and Charlene Oliver of Lewisville, and her dear friends, Bob and Nancy Smalley of Kimbolton, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Monday, May 23, 2022, from 11 AM to the time of the service at 1 PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Pastor Phil Murphy will be officiating. Interment will be held at Clearfork Cemetery. The family requests that masks be worn throughout the calling hours and services.

Family and Friends are welcome, but due to COVID- 19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
