Pete Alan Bowman

Pete Alan Bowman, 49, of Cambridge, died Saturday (May 25, 2019) at his home.

He was born July 11, 1969 in Cambridge, son of Kim Bowman and the late Gale Johnston, who passed away on December 11, 2018.

Pete was an excellent brick and block mason, who enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing, working with cars, campfires and listening to his favorite music. He is lovingly described by his family as a simple man.

He attended Cambridge High School and played football for the Bobcats.

Pete was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Pete is survived by a son, Jacob Alan Bowman of Byesville; a daughter, Abbigale Elaine Freeman of Cambridge; his father, Kim Bowman of Cambridge; two brothers, Josey Bowman and Dustin (& Stacey) Eckleson of Byesville; three sisters, Tricia (& Jack Schrag) Sallow of Cambridge, Melissa Bowman of Columbus and Kimmie (& Brian) Jarrett of Byesville; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday (May 30, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Slay officiating.

No burial will be held at this time.
