Phyllis Maynard

Phyllis Maynard, 78, of Byesville, died Thursday (June 19, 2014) at Kindred Healthcare of Cambridge. She was born May 12, 1936, in Logan County, W.Va., daughter of the late Perry Brooks and Sina (Cook) Brooks-Maynard. Mrs. Maynard retired from Parkway Products and Jud Industries She enjoyed spending time with her family and her granddaughter, Emma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Carol Ann Maynard and Gregory Maynard; two brothers, Franklin Brooks and Jessie Brooks; a sister, Wilma brooks; a niece and a nephew. She is survived by her husband, Carlos Maynard of Lore City; a son, Jeff Maynard and fiance' Cindy Stomdaugh of Byesville; a sister, Claire (Jerry) Blankenship of Oceana, W.Va.; four grandchildren, including a special grandchild, Emma Maynard; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday (June 25, 2014) at 1 p.m. in Flat Ridge Cemetery in Knox Township.
