Polly B. Duff

Polly B. Duff, 91, of Cambridge, died Thursday (June 22, 2017) at her home. She was born February 7, 1926 in McKeesport PA, daughter of the late William E. Barron and Grace (Irvin) Barron. She graduated from high school in Washington PA, attended Muskingum College, and graduated from The Ohio State University in Radio Broadcasting. She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon and an elder. She also taught in the church tutoring program. Mrs. Duff was a charter member of Wing 12 of SEORMC Auxiliary, a member of Musigals, a volunteer with Hospice of Guernsey, and served as head of the Red Cross "Learn to Swim" program for many years. She was a "people person" who enjoyed time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Barron. She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Francis Duff; her four children, Gary (Angela) Duff of Cambridge and their daughters, Kaitlin and Lindsey Duff; Betsy (Wallace) Neidenthal and their children, Sara and Ben (Jessica), and great-grandson, Jack Neidenthal, all of Columbus; Steven (Diane) Duff and their two sons, Sam (Tara) and Paul Duff, of Cincinnati and Columbus; and Brian (Sharon) Duff and their sons, Chris, Dan, and Michael Duff, all of Providence RI; and two brothers, William Barron of Ormond Beach FL and Don (Katie) Barron of San Diego CA. Memorial visitation hours will be held Saturday (June 24, 2017) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Private funeral services will be held at a later date. Polly will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and wisdom.
