Rachel Anne Drotovick, 14, of Cambridge, died Sunday (September 29, 2013) as the result of an off-road motorcycle accident. She was born November 16, 1998 in Cambridge, daughter of Paul Drotovick and Pam (Gween) Drotovick. Miss Drotovick was a freshman at Cambridge High School, where she was a very good student. She enjoyed playing soccer. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Leslie Lawson. She is survived by her parents, Paul and Pam Drotovick of the home; a brother, Matthew Drotovick of Cambridge; her maternal grandparents, Ken and Rita Gween of Minerva, and Daun Lawson of Florida; her paternal grandparents, Paul and Joanne Drotovick of New Philadelphia; two uncles, Mark (& Kathy) Drotovick of New Philadelphia and Mike (& Kathy) Lawson of Florida; two aunts, Lisa (& Mike) Blake of Carrollton and Cindy Marrs of Minerva; several cousins; and her much loved pets, Rocky the rabbit, Jake the dog, and her cats, Bear and Tigger. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday (October 3, 2013) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home (139 S 9th St, Cambridge OH 43725) to help with expenses.
