Ralph Earnest Brock

July 11, 1913 — June 10, 2007

Ralph Earnest Brock went home to be with His Lord on June 10, 2007 at 8:05 a.m. at the Autumn Health Care in Cambridge, OH. He was 93 years old. He was born July 11, 1913 in Norwich, Ohio. He was the son of the late Minnie D. (Geyer) Brock and William A. Brock. Ralph grew up in Norwich and graduated from New Concord High School. He moved to Cambridge shortly after high school where he met the love of his life, Goldie (Durben) Brock. Ralph and Goldie were united in marriage on October 19, 1935. They were happily married for 52 years. They were active members of Faith United Methodist Church in Cambridge and Ralph was an active member of the church for 74 years. In 1957, Ralph purchased The Cambridge Machine and Supply Company, which he owned and operated for 71 years. He was a member of The Guernsey # 66 F. & A.M. for 70 years, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Aladdin Shrine and The Kambri Shrine Club. Ralph was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Goldie M. (Durben) Brock, who died May 4, 1988, and Elsie & Charles Siegfried. He leaves a brother, William A. (Jean) Brock of Circleville; a sister, Jeanette C. (Herb) Oakley of Cambridge; two daughters, Sandra E. (Charles) Kellstadt of Cambridge and Sharon A. (George) Griffith of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Larry (Mary Kay) Thompson, Karen (Dave) Roe, Karla Ewart and Kim Kellstadt all of Cambridge; and ten great-grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan and Emilee Thompson, Cody, Jessie and Dylan Roe, Joshua and Abigail Ewart, Janelle and Danielle Kellstadt. Graveside services will be held for family and friends on Tuesday (June 12, 2007) at 11 a.m. at Northwood Cemetery with Rev. Kim Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Center for Child and Family Development, 8 Main Street, Zanesville OH 43701.
