Ralph "Hoot" Gibson

Ralph "Hoot" Gibson, 87, of Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark.

Ralph was born on December 11, 1935, in Cambridge, a son of the late Ralph and Retta (Rollins) Gibson.

Ralph was an employee of NCR for many years. He enjoyed wood working, camping, travel, and going to Jamboree in the Hills. Ralph was a member of VFW 2901, the Eagles, and the Moose Lodge. Ralph was a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, E. Gail Gibson, who passed away on January 2, 2020, and his granddaughter, Terra Decker.

Ralph is survived by three daughters, Carol (John) Decker of Millersport, Connie Skelton of Flushing, and Cathy Brokaw of Flushing, two grandchildren, Nikole Decker of Lancaster, and Chad Brokaw of Flushing, four great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Ady, Conner, and Alexander Brokaw.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 11AM to 1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with a service to immediately follow. Evan. Mark Beros will be officiating. Burial will be held at Guernsey Memory Gardens in Cambridge.
