Randy L. Harper, 41, of Quaker City, died Saturday (March 10, 2012) at his home. He was born March 11, 1970 in Barnesville, son of Donald L. Harper and Linda C. (Hannahs) Harper. Mr. Harper worked as a heavy equipment operator for Sidwell Materials. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion # 578 of Batesville. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, riding motorcycles, and mudding. He enjoyed having a good time with his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd & Betty (Carpenter) Hannahs and J. L. "Bus" & Wanda (Johnson) Harper. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Linda Harper of Quaker City; two sons, Chandler K. Harper and Kyle L. Harper of the home; two daughters, Kayla C. Harper and Emalee P. Harper of the home; a brother, James L. "Stretch" Harper of Quaker City; a sister, Kimberly D. Harper of Barnesville; his ex-wife, Christine (Jones) Ray; a niece, Caileigh Haney; a nephew, Austin Haney; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday (March 14, 2012) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery.
