Ray G. Milner, 76, of Cambridge, died Friday (January 17, 2014) at the Beckett House at New Concord. He was born May 31, 1937 in Bloomfield, son of the late Eldridge L. Milner and Ethel Elizabeth (Lawrence) Milner. Mr. Milner retired after twenty-two years as a supervisor at Central Ohio Coal. He also had worked for AEP/Ohio Power. He was Protestant by faith. He was a 1955 graduate of Cambridge Central High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah A. Cornell; two brothers, Robert L. Milner and Ronald E. Milner; and a sister, Jackie Mulholland. He is survived by two sons, Donald R. Milner and Raymond W. Milner of Columbus; two daughters, Denise M. Dorland of Cambridge and D'Anne K. Underwood of Cumberland; a brother, Harold Jay Milner of Byesville; eighteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday (January 21, 2014) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville OH 43701.
