Raymond Paul Green

Raymond Paul Green, 68, of New Concord, died Saturday (December 13, 2014) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born May 5, 1946 in Bald Knob WV, son of the late Haymond Green and Lucille (Vance) Green. Mr. Green retired from Ridge Tool, where he had worked in the shipping department. He was a gun collector and loved watching Western movies. He cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren. Mr. Green was proud of being a US Army veteran. He served during the Vietnam War and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. He is survived by his wife, Aretta (Bryant) Green, whom he married March 2, 1968; a son, Raymond Green Jr. of Front Royal VA; two daughters, Teresa Green of Zanesville and Kimberly Green of Front Royal VA; several loving brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren, Matthew Allen Huff, McKenzie Renee Huff, Michael Tyler Huff, Ashley Nicole Murphy, Bridgette Marie Murphy, and Christopher Thomas Murphy. Visitation will be held Monday (December 22, 2014) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Military burial with honors will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
