Raymond C. Lynn

Raymond C. Lynn, 60, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday (February 26, 2012) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born November 3, 1951 in Guernsey County, son of the late Ralph J. Lynn and Dorothy R. (Pulley) Lynn-Bonnell. Raymond worked as a driller for various oil field companies. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians. He also enjoyed carpentry and fishing. He was an excellent pool and darts player. He enjoyed working on cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Walter C. Bonnell; two grandsons, Kyle Hanes and Clinton Ray Huntsman; a son-in-law, Timothy E. Smith; three brothers-in-law; a nephew; and a niece. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Susan Johnson of the home; his children, Christina Smith of Barnesville, Michelle (Ryan) Thompson of Bolivia NC, Jodi Lynn of the home, Joshua Lynn (Kim) of Cambridge, and Jessica Lynn (Danny) of Cambridge; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Blake, Wade, Anthony, Christopher, Tiffany, and Connor; nine sisters, Sheryl Williams, Sharon Taylor, Patty Lynn, Carol Taylor, Janice Campbell, Clara Wood, Mary Clifton, Barb Hodkinson, and Debbie Alexander; four brothers, Bob Lynn, Paul Bonnell, Delbert Bonnell, and Sam Bonnell; his father-in-law, Lynn Johnson of New York; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Lafferty of New York; five sisters-in-law, Janet Mehok, Colleen Morris, Julie Kehr, Christy Johnson, and Paula Solem; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends may call on Saturday (March 3, 2012) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Private family graveside services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
