Raymond Andrew Mathers, 31, of Cambridge, died Sunday (March 20, 2016) at The James Cancer Center, Columbus. He was born November 26, 1984 in Zanesville, son of Rocky Mathers Sr. and Carole (McMahan) Selby. Mr. Mathers had worked for Schwan Food Company in the warehouse division. He had also worked for A.E. Winland Excavating & Fencing. He loved helping with his daughters' softball teams and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul R. Mathers; his maternal grandparents, Glenn and Phyllis McMahan; and his maternal step-grandmother, Margaret Mathers. He is survived by his wife, Tina (Stevens) Mathers, whom he married July 10, 2004; his mother, Carole Selby of Cambridge; his father, Rocky Mathers Sr. of Cambridge; two daughters, Felicity Mathers (age 10) and Alonna Mathers (age 8); two brothers, Rocky Mathers Jr. of Cambridge and Shane Mathers of Zanesville; a sister, Robin Mathers of Byesville; his paternal grandmother, Beva Mathers of Nashport; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Sylvia Stevens of Atwater; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; his step-father, Frank Selby of Cambridge; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Brown of Buffalo and Rachel Stevens of Atwater; a brother-in-law, Brian Stevens of Atwater; and his close friends, Alan Winland and Billie & Kathy Watson. Memorial visitation hours will be held Tuesday (March 29, 2016) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
