Rebecca Jane Humanek

Rebecca Jane Humanek, 87, of Cambridge, died Friday (September 25, 2009) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born September 7, 1922 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Edward Colvin and Rose (Bishard) Colvin. Mrs. Humanek was a homemaker. She was also a long-time childcare giver. She was a member of the Four-Square Good Shepherd Gospel Church of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Humanek, who died in 1981; four brothers, Robert, Leonard, Edward and Willard Colvin; a sister, Mildred Wagstaff; and a special friend, Ed Hockenberry. She is survived by a daughter, Tina (Humanek) Bailey of Cambridge; two sisters, Mary Hackley of Cambridge and Bernadine Simms of Zanesville; a granddaughter, Jessica Bailey and her husband, Sean Arata of Columbus; and several nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (September 29, 2009) at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Bill Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autumn Healthcare Center of Cambridge Activities Department, 66731 Old Twenty-One Road, Cambridge OH 43725.
