Rena V. Graham, 87, of Quaker City, died Tuesday (April 6, 2021) at The Morrison House, Zanesville.

She was born May 30, 1933 in Fairmont, West Virginia, daughter of the late George Alderson Sauvageot and Grace Alice (Smith) Sauvageot.

Mrs. Graham graduated from Jefferson Medical College Hospital in 1954 and worked as a registered nurse in the hospital.  She was the East Guernsey school nurse, including Madison and Quaker City schools, for many years and retired in 1998.  She was also a member of the State Board of Health at one time.

Mrs. Graham was a long time valued active member of the Middlebourne Methodist Church, where she was Vice President of the United Methodist Women and Social Secretary of the church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. "Chuck" Graham, who died December 30, 2009.  They were married October 30, 1957.  Also deceased is a brother, Bill Sauvageot.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Graham of Salesville; a brother, Aldi (Della) Sauvageot of West Virginia; a sister, Kitty Bachman of New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Randy Cologie Jr., Savannah (Bill) Henry, and Courtney Hill; seven great-grandchildren, Anna, Parker, Bella, Lahna, Sarah, Bentley, and Adalyn; Randy (Iris) Cologie Sr., who was like a son to her; Jolene King and her daughters Ivy and Sadey King, who was like a granddaughter/great-grandchildren to her; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday (April 8, 2021) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held Friday (April 9, 2021) at 1 p.m. with Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating. Family and friends are welcome, but due to COVID-19, FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED.  Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery.
