Reta Belle (Bates) Miller

Reta Belle (Bates) Miller, 74, of Cambridge, died Saturday (September 8, 2018) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

She was born September 30, 1943 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Anna Isabelle (Sherrard) and Robert Armstrong.

Ms. Miller had worked at Wal-Mart as a cashier for many years.

She loved spending her time at her grandchildren's activities and enjoyed going to yard sales on Saturdays.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Blair; a brother, Glen Bates; a granddaughter, Amy Mae Miller; a great-grandson, Kaden Bond; and her friend, Benny Harper.

She is survived by four sons, Dale (& Gale) Miller, Jeff (& Linda) Miller, Larry (& Chrystal) Miller, and Brian (& Ashley) Hix all of Cambridge; two daughters, Karen (& Bobby) Berger and Dawn (& Albert) Ogle both of Cambridge; a brother, Donnie Bates of West Salem; twenty-six grandchildren; and her special friends, Dick Todd, Howard and JoAnn Shreve, and Tommy Boy Blankenship.

Visitation will be held Thursday (September 13, 2018) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Friday (September 14, 2018) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Stinson officiating.

Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson Township.
