Richard D. "Dick" Hollister

Richard D. "Dick" Hollister, 74, of Quaker City passed away Thursday (March 29, 2012) at his home He was born October 26, 1937 in Webster Springs, WV and was the son of the late Herbert and Agatha (Cogar) Hollister. Mr. Hollister retired from Summit County Environmental Services, and served in the Ohio National Guard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Joyce (Dean) Hollister; two sisters, Patricia Ward and Bobbi Jean Hollister. He is survived by two sons, Jason (Stacy) Hollister and Dwayne Hollister both of Akron; one daughter Cynthia (John) Sanner of Quaker City; one sister Geraldine Harper of Uniontown, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jeremy Hollister, Johnny Sanner Jr., Jesse Sanner, Madison Hollister and Zachary Hollister; six great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge where services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Ronnie Lee Ward officiating.
