Richard E. Hunt, 66, of Byesville, died Tuesday (June 30, 2015) at The Morrison House of Zanesville. He was born September 9, 1948 in Zanesville, son of the late Harry L. Hunt and Mary Eleanor (Woodward) Hunt. Mr. Hunt had worked at Phillips Plastics, the former Cambridge State Hospital, Humphrey Ford Garage, and Jeffries Dodge. Most recently, he had worked as a press operator in the finishing department of Plastec. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 386 of Cambridge and a social member of the Byesville VFW Post 3760. He liked antiques and antique cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hunt. He is survived by an uncle, William (& Pat) Woodward of Crooksville and their children, Chris, Connie, and Curt; a cousin, Linda Ridgley of Byesville; special friends, John "Chris" (& Carol) Murrell of Kipling and Robert "Bob" (& Kathy) Crozier of Cambridge; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday (July 2, 2015) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Karen Rawlins officiating. Burial will be at Crooksville Cemetery, at a later date.
