Richard Eugene McKim, 60, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (June 16, 2015) at his home. He was born May 29, 1955 in Cambridge, son of Miranda McKim. Mr. McKim worked as a security guard for Buckeye Guard Service Inc. for many years. He attended the North Salem Church. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards, fishing, and watching Westerns. He cherished being with his family and loved playing with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was the devoted husband to Beverly J. (Hardy) McKim of the home, whom he married August 13, 1993. He is also survived by his mother, Miranda McKim of Cambridge; two stepsons, David Massello (& Jamie McIntire) and Drew (& Jessica) Massello both of Cambridge; a brother, Clarence Little Jr. (& Suzanne Valentine) of Byesville; two sisters, Shirley Ann Eltringham of Belle Valley and Kathryn Mourer of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Andrew Jr., David, Chelsea, Joseph, and Rebekka; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sue McKim, Raymon Hardy, Bill and Sandy Hardy, Roy Hardy (& Barb Hudson), and Janet Hardy; nieces and nephews, Blake and Eric Mayle of New Concord, Beth McKim, Violet Ancell, Tonya and Keith Landaker, Louis Hardy, Brittany Hardy, Christopher and Dorothy Hardy, Nick and Kim Touville, Amanda Touville, Cortney Hardy, Cassie and Harry Mahley, William Hardy, Jessi Hardy, Amanda Hardy, and Traci Landaker all of Cambridge; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends, including special family friends, Clyde Chandler and Ruth McKim. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday (June 19, 2015) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor John Sims officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
