Richard H. Neuhart, 81, of Quaker City, died Tuesday (June 17, 2014) at the Barnesville Health Care Center. He was born September 15, 1932 in Batesville, son of the late Forrest Neuhart and Hazel (Mercer) Neuhart. Mr. Neuhart was a retired school bus driver for the Noble Local Schools. He was also the owner of Neuhart's Service of Batesville. He was a graduate of Batesville High School. He attended the Batesville Methodist Church. Mr. Neuhart was a US Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Batesville American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Neuhart; four brothers, Ralph, Ray, Jimmy, and Jack; and two sisters, Marie and Juanita. He is survived by his wife, Irene (Carpenter) Neuhart, whom he married August 29, 1953; two sons, Tony (& Janice) Neuhart of Batesville and Craig (& Karen) Neuhart of Quaker City; three grandchildren, Jennifer (& Jeremy) Wayble, Stephen Neuhart, and Daniel Neuhart; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Avery Wayble. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held Friday (June 20, 2014) at 1 p.m. with Rev. Carol Touvell officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, with military graveside honors conducted by the Batesville American Legion.
