Rickey Lee Daniels, 56, of Cambridge, went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2015. He was born October 2, 1958 in Cambridge, son of the late Charles L. Daniels and Doris L. (Thomas) Daniels. Mr. Daniels was a US Marine Corps veteran, serving for over eighteen years in both the Persian Gulf War and Desert Storm. He was a telephone lineman. He was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. He was a 1976 graduate of Cambridge High School. He loved to barbeque and cook. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and NASCAR (especially of Jimmie Johnson). Mr. Daniels was a member of the Cambridge Bible Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, April Daugherty; and a brother, Randy Daniels. He is survived by a sister, Sandra (& Greg) Sherrard of Lore City; a son, Jason (& Lori) Daniels of Charleston WV; his fiancée, Jennifer Ball and her sons, Tyler (& Nellie) Ball and Hunter Hustutler; five grandchildren, Robby (& Carly) Weaver, Makayla Daniels, Austan Daniels, Zoey Ball, and Daphane McCullum; a great-grandson, Braden Weaver; and his cat, Peaches. Visitation will be held Wednesday (May 6, 2015) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joel Owen officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
