Rita Carol (Christman) Shuman

Rita Carol Christman Shuman, 70, of Quaker City, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 19, 2025. She was born April 4, 1954, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Emerson Christman and Lucille (Wyscarver) Christman. She was a graduate of Shenandoah High School class of 1972 and a former employee of Barnesville Heath Care of Barnesville and the County Home of Cambridge. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Shuman, in 2006. She leaves her two sons, Aaron (Mandy) Shaffer of Cambridge and  Mitchel (Andrea) Shaffer of Byesville, three step sons, Brian, Randy and Blake; a sister Karen (Rick) Starr of Caldwell,  4 grandchildren, Chrissy(Luke) Willison of Caldwell, Dalton (Mariah) Shaffer of Belpre, Brody Shaffer of Cambridge and Victoria Ferrell of Los Angeles,  2 great grandchildren, Liam Willison of Caldwell and Maeve Shaffer of Belpre along with nieces and nephews. She leaves special friends Charlene Hastings and Jerry Dale Lippert. No calling hours will be observed with private graveside services at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City at a later date with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Maddy's Cat Rescue of Cambridge Ohio.
