Robert Lee Campbell

Robert Lee Campbell, 88, of Cambridge, passed away on January 17, 2024.

He was born December 13, 1935, in Westland Township/Guernsey County, son of the late Charles R. Campbell and Mary Mae (Norman) Campbell.

Mr. Campbell had worked as a laborer and mechanic for many years.  He had worked at Cambridge Glass and Randall's Plastics.  He also painted cars. Robert enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with family.

He was a former member of the Stop 9 Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Campbell and John Campbell.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine D. (Rochus) Campbell, whom he married February 12, 1972; a son, Monty (& Tammie) Campbell of New Concord; four daughters, Penny (& Mark) Gibson of Byesville, April (& Brian) Allen of Cambridge, Crystal (& Steve) Davis of Tampa FL, and Bobbie (& David) Davis of Cambridge; two sisters-in-law, Janet Campbell of Claysville, and Donna Campbell of Cambridge; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 11AM-1PM, with the service to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Westland Township/Guernsey County. Evan. Mark Beros will officiate.
