Robert Leroy Colvin

Robert Leroy Colvin, 85, of Cambridge, died Thursday (March 22, 2007) at the Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. He was born July 6, 1921 in Cambridge, son of the late Edward J. Colvin and Rosa (Bichard) Colvin. Mr. Colvin was a glass worker for Cambridge Glass and also had worked for Blair's Upholstery. He loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred (Pickens) Colvin; his second wife, Janie (Proctor) Colvin; his long-time companion, Sarah Back; and siblings, Leonard Colvin, Edward Colvin, Willard Colvin and Mildred Wagstaff. He leaves three sisters, Bernadine Sims of Zanesville, Mary Hackley of Cambridge and Becky Humanek of Cambridge; six nieces, five nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Monday (March 26, 2007) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Donald Glass officiating. Burial will be at Calais Cemetery.
