Robert Cooper, 56, of Cambridge, passed away Thursday (September 14, 2006) at his home. He was born November 29, 1949 in Cambridge, son of the late Charles Cooper and Marjorie (Walker) Cooper. Mr. Cooper was a laborer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. Mr. Cooper was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. He leaves his companion of thirty-five years, Janet Hardy of the home; a daughter, Judy (& Brian) Hardy of Cambridge; a sister, Linda Painter of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Brian Jr., Kayla and Andrew; a niece; and three great-nephews. Family and friends may call on Thursday (September 21, 2006) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Randolph White officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
