Robert "Denny" Dennis Danford Iii

Robert "Denny" Dennis Danford III, 45, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (January 7, 2015) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 24, 1969 in Cambridge, son of Jean (Hessin) Danford and the late Robert D. Danford Jr. Mr. Danford was a heavy equipment operator with Glenn O. Hawbaker for several years. He was a 1987 graduate of John Glenn High School. Mr. Danford was a US Navy veteran, having served from 1988 to 1992. He loved spending time with his children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mudding, golfing, camping, and motorcycling. He is survived by his children, Austin Thomas Danford and Malena Jade Danford; his mother, Jean Danford; five sisters, Debbie (& Dick) Singleton, Bobbie (& Harry) Hitchcock, Liz (& Gerry) Bamfield, Pammie (& Brian) Harper, and Mary (& Jeff) Caldwell; an uncle, Don (& Ellie) Danford; and several aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday (January 11, 2015) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, please send memorial contributions to help Denny's children with their education expenses.
