Robert Charles Dunlap, 72, of Cambridge, lost his longtime battle with cancer and passed away quietly at home on Friday (January 15, 2021).
Bob was a United States Army veteran and retired from the Cambridge City Water Department.
Bob was a man of few words, but always around to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He was a multi-tasker and could fix just about anything. He loved the sport of fishing and spending time in the woods as an avid hunter. This was just one of the many traits he passed onto his boys. He loved spending time at flea markets looking for the next big bargain with his longtime girlfriend, Kathy, and tinkering with miscellaneous toys like his Camaro, but the latter part of his life was spent on his love of tractor pulling with his son, Steve.
Bob was the son of the late Paul and Dorothy Dunlap also of Cambridge. He leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Kathy Neff, who loved him deeply and was with him every step of the way while fighting his illness; two sons, Steve (Judy) Dunlap and Jason (Ashley) Dunlap; two grandsons, Steven (Sarah) Dunlap and Jason (Robin) Dunlap; a granddaughter, Sharise Dunlap; a great-grandson, Sawyer Dunlap; and a great-granddaughter, Shayne Dunlap.
Per Bob's request, no services will be held.
