Robert Dillon Rose

Robert Dillon Rose, 68, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (July 15, 2009) at his home. He was born January 5, 1941 in Dayton, son of the late George Dillon Rose and Grace E. (Clark) Null. Mr. Rose retired from NCR, where he worked in employee supervision. He also worked at Memorex-Telex for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his model airplanes. Mr. Rose graduated from Ohio University in 1964, earning a Bachelor's Degree. He was a Master Mason at his home Lodge in Springfield OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Geri O'Brien. He is survived by a son, David Rose (& Mary Braniger) of Cambridge; a daughter, Kimberly Danford of Cambridge; and four grandchildren, Madison Rose Fairchild (age 6) of Cambridge, Kyle Scurlock who is currently serving with the National Guard, Austin Danford (age 13) of Cambridge, and Malena Danford (age 7) of Cambridge. A memorial service will be held Tuesday (July 21, 2009) at 1:30 p.m. at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Friends may also gather on Tuesday (July 21, 2009) at the Park Circle from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday (July 24, 2009) at Shakers from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Personal condolences may be sent to the family at www.thorn-blackfuneralhomes.com
