Robert H. Rowe Sr., 78, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (January 19, 2009) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born on February 21, 1930 in Windham, son of the late Thomas Rowe and Marguerite E. (Rufener) Rowe Morgan. Mr. Rowe retired after 41 years with Ametek/March Electric, where he had been a machinist. He was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church. Mr. Rowe enjoyed woodworking and boating. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry W. Hanes. He leaves his wife, Jean Ann (Whitis) Rowe of the home, whom he married on May 10, 1958; three sons, Robert H. Rowe Jr. of Belton MO, Steven R. (LouAnn) Ross of Granville and Jeffrey A. (Debbie) Rowe of Cambridge; a daughter, Lisa A. Hanes of Chillicothe; three brothers, Roy (Joyce) Morgan of Ravenna, Ronald (Jean) Morgan of California and Tyrone (Laverne) Morgan of Streetsboro; two sisters-in-law, Julie (Steve) Davis of Canal Winchester and Janice K. Whitis of Reynoldsburg; five grandchildren, Matthew (Nicole) Ross of Granville, Kyle Ross of Granville, Rachel Ross of Granville, Joshua (Trisha) Rowe of Cambridge and Kristie Holt of Cambridge; six great-grandchildren, Taelor, Briana, Gabriel, Leland, Ashlyn and Jadyn; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday (January 22, 2009) at 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
