Robert E. Seckman

Robert E. Seckman, 71, of Cambridge, died Saturday (July 19, 2014) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born March 7, 1943 in East Liverpool, son of the late Rosamand and Margie Boley. He was the oldest of ten children. He was adopted and raised by Clara Seckman. Mr. Seckman was a driller for the oil field industry. He enjoyed working on his computer and taking care of his lawn and garden. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hall) Seckman, whom he married June 1, 1985; two sons, John L. (& Tammy) Seckman of Roseville and Tommy Sayers of West Virginia; two daughters, Rita (& Donald) Russell of Crooksville and Rosa (& Bud) Johnson of Jerusalem; a stepson, Jeff Cowden of Cambridge; eleven grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday (July 24, 2014) at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Westland Township.
