Robert "Bobby" V. Hood Sr.

Robert V. "Bobby" Hood Sr., 44, of Byesville, died Wednesday (July 25, 2012) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 9, 1967 in Guernsey County, son of the late Robert T. Hood and Shirley J. (Carpenter) Hood. Mr. Hood was self-employed in the construction industry for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and drinking beer. He cherished spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Katrina (Lyons) Hood, whom he married August 9, 2007; five sons, Jacob Hood of the home, Johnathan Hood of the home, Robert "Junior" (& Wilma) Hood of Cambridge, Josh (& Hannah) Hood of Hubert NC, and Joey (& Jayme B. Burlingame) Hood of Cambridge; a brother, Virgil Lee Hood of Cambridge; a sister, Patricia (& Terry) Seymour of Warsaw; six grandchildren, Koby, Scarlett, Chloe, Coltyn, Bentlee, and Olivia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; a special niece and caregiver, Traci Landaker; and a special cousin, Raymond Morris. No calling hours will be observed. A private family service will be held at a later date.
