Roberta F. Brothers, 74, of Zanesville, died Thursday (May 5, 2016) at The Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born October 15, 1941 in Derwent, daughter of the late Jerry Kingdon Dusz and Laura Ellen (Abrams) Dusz. Mrs. Brothers was a retired sales clerk, having worked at various hardware stores throughout her career. She loved to travel, work puzzles, listen to country music, and watch old Western movies. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially of Dale Earnhardt Sr. Mrs. Brothers was well known for her great sense of humor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson E. Brothers, who died July 26, 2006. They were married July 29, 1959. Also deceased are four brothers, Thomas, Donald, Luther, and Gerald; and two sisters, Francis Leona Dusz and Thelma Kachurchak. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Pace of New Concord; a sister, Loretta Sarmiento of Florida; three grandchildren, Benjamin, Tristan, and Jessica; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday (May 9, 2016) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where a celebration of her life will follow at 1 p.m. with Ronnie Miller officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
