Roberta M. Combs

Roberta M. (Zimmer) Combs, 73, of Cambridge, died Thursday (December 30, 2021) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

She was born March 30, 1948 in Dayton, daughter of the late Edward Zimmer and Melba (Dietz) Zimmer.

A 1966 graduate of Tecumseh High School, Mrs. Combs had worked for thirty-three years for the City of Dayton as a help desk manager.

She was a member of the Called to Freedom Fellowship of Cambridge and was an avid supporter of the Freedom House Homeless Shelter, taking calls and organizing purse auctions for the shelter.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Above all else, she loved the Lord and studying the word of God.

She enjoyed knitting and making jewelry.  She never met a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Paris Combs, whom she married on May 13, 1995; two sons, Michael Saylors (Marie Keaton) of Dayton and Matthew Saylors (Jessica Back) of Vandalia; five sisters, Judith Petrokas of Centerville, Janet (Gayle) Batton of Arcadia FL, Marcia (Bob) Hollins of Cambridge, Marilyn (Richard) Robinson of Fairborn, and Nancy (Joe) Teerman of Howard City MI; and five grandchildren, Shannon, McKenna, Megan, Carter, and Holt.

No calling hours will be observed.  A Celebration of Life will be held at the Called to Freedom Fellowship of Cambridge at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Freedom House Homeless Shelter, 710 N 4 ^th Street, Cambridge OH 43725.
