Roger L. Casey, 72, of Cambridge, died Saturday (July 30, 2016) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born November 7, 1943 in Cambridge, son of the late James Casey and Ethel (Bishard) Casey. Mr. Casey had worked as a spray painter at Cambridge Tool & Die for many years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and shooting pool. Mr. Casey was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of VFW Post 2901 of Cambridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Bishard. He is survived by his wife, Martha (Kennedy) Casey; a daughter, Melissa Patterson of Cambridge; a brother, James (& Joyce) Casey of Columbus; and several nieces, nephews, & cousins. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Wednesday (August 3, 2016) at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military graveside honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
