Roger Lee Long

Roger Lee Long, 87, of Quaker City, passed away May 8, 2019 at Altercare in Cambridge. He was born May 30, 1931, a son of Harvey and Blanche Long. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Lori Long and grandson, Blake Long.

Roger was a farmer and a rural mail carrier. He was a proud Korean War veteran. He loved bowling, golfing, playing cards, and watching his grandchildren play in their sports activities.

Roger leaves behind his wife of 64 years, Marjorie; a son, Glen Long of Quaker City; a daughter, Rhonda Long of Columbus; and grandchildren, Emily and Zander Shumar of Somerset and Jessica Long of Quaker City. He also leaves behind a special great-grandson, Hudson Lee Shumar.

No calling hours will be observed. Private graveside services will be at Friends Cemetery in Quaker City.
