Roger R. Sigman Jr.

Roger R. Sigman Jr., 76, of Cambridge, died Sunday (February 2, 2020) at Southeastern Med.

He was born November 30, 1943 in Cambridge, son of the late Roger R. Sigman Sr. and Phyllis (Little) Sigman.

Mr. Sigman retired from Ames Trutemper and R&R Drywall, where he had worked for thirty years in quality control.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union and a member of the Shenandoah Riding Horse Club. He was an auxiliary officer for the Guernsey County Sheriff's Department.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, close friends, and neighbors.

Mr. Sigman was Presbyterian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Vickie Sigman; a brother, Rusty Sigman; and a sister, Judy Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. (Porter) Sigman, whom he married July 24, 1971; three sons, Jeff Sigman of Kentucky, Trent (Crystal) Sigman of Cambridge, and Keith (Donna) Sigman of Lore City; a daughter, Kissy (Brad) LePage of Old Washington; three brothers, Steve (Stephanie) Sigman of Georgia, Marty (Mayuree) Eckelson of Florida, and Jerry (Linda) Eckelson of Illinois; three sisters, Karen Bailey of Cambridge, Linda (John) Hatcher of Bloomfield, and Jackie (George) Wisenbarger of Cambridge; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

No calling hours will be observed. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Guernsey County Animal Shelter; or 2) Guernsey County Cancer Society.
