Roger L. Stillion Sr.

August 13, 1945 — November 24, 2007

Roger L. Stillion Sr., 62, of Cambridge, died Saturday (November 24, 2007) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on August 13, 1945, son of the late Ralph W. Stillion and Mary Virginia (Mackey) Stillion. Mr. Stillion retired from the Guernsey County Highway Department, where he had been a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Stillion was a member of the Good Shepherd Four Square Gospel Church. He was active in the Cambridge Little League for thirty years, serving as coach, league president and District #5 administrator. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Stillion; a sister, Esther Mowery; and a grandchild. He leaves his wife, Nancy (Hackley) Stillion, whom he married on February 14, 1986; three sons, Roger Stillion Jr. of Mansfield, Glenn Stillion of Newark and Neal Stillion of Cambridge; four step-sons, Dan (& Sue) Daugherty Jr. of Cambridge, Dave (& Melissa) Daugherty of Derwent, Dennis (& Lisa) Daugherty of Cambridge and Doug (& Rexanne) Daugherty of Cambridge; a brother, Donald R. (& Lorayn) Stillion of Zanesville; two sisters, Mary L. Potts of Florida and Betty (& Robert) Shinn of Byesville; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Wednesday (November 28, 2007) at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Cain officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
