Ronald "Les" L. Moore

Ronald L. "Les" Moore, 86, of Cambridge, died Thursday (May 30, 2019) at Southeastern Med.

He was born March 5, 1933 in Amanda, son of the late William Moore and Inez (Lutz) Moore.

He retired from March Electric, where he worked as a Tool and Die Maker. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. He enjoyed making miniature steam engines and woodworking.

Mr. Moore was a U.S. Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra L. (Deeren) Moore; four brothers, Harry, Jerry, Glen and Howard "Snork"; two sisters, Babe and June; and his companion, Jeanine Anker.

He is survived by a son, Michael (& Pam) Moore of Fleming; a daughter, Colleen (& Dan) Hood of Cambridge; three sisters, Helen Lindsey of Mississippi, Judy Morgan of Pickerington, and Mary O'Neill of Middleport; two grandchildren, Shannon Moore-Sayers and Candice Hood; a brother-in-law, Joe Culbertson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (June 4, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Everett Stoddard officiating.

Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, with military graveside honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Faith United Methodist Church, 500 S 7 ^th St, Cambridge OH 43725; 2) The Cancer Society; or 3) The Leukemia Society.
