Rosa Bernadine Hinson Watson, age 90, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 6, 2023, at the Beckett House Nursing Home.

She was born June 11, 1932, in Wills Township/Guernsey County, daughter of the late William M. Hawkins and Audrey B. (Blackburn) Hawkins.

Mrs. Watson was the owner and vice president of Don Hinson QS Oil for eighteen years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901 Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Watson was a member of the Center United Methodist Church, where she held several offices and was a member of the choir.

Rosa was a breast cancer survivor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald (Pedro) Hinson; second husband, Howard (Buzz) Watson, son-in-law, Montie Hunter, granddaughter, May Hunter, and a sister, Helen Warner.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Stephen R. (Betty) Hinson of Cambridge; two daughters, Carol A. Hunter of Cambridge and Nancy Jo (&Jim) Latchic of Akron; two sisters, Ruth McElwee of Dover and Marjorie Carpenter of New Haven FL; her grandchildren, Courtney (& Kurt) Campbell, Mandy (& Aaron) Shaffer, Joseph (& Jessica) Hinson, Robert (& Alicia) Hinson, Jeremy (& Megan) Latchic, Jay (&Amy) Latchic, Allen (& Harriett) Hunter, and Chris (& Susan) Hunter; and her great-grandchildren, Brody, Chrissy, Dakota, Taylor, Carson, Emma, Colby, Nick, Alexis, Madison, Austin (Lindsey), Zack (Angela), Grady, Luke, Carter, Lillian, and Baby Latchic on the way; and her great-great grandchildren, Wren, Trey, Paisley, Lola, and Liam.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Beckett House Nursing Home and Hospice of Cambridge for all of their wonderful care provided.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 11AM-1PM with the service to immediately follow at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating. Burial will be held at Center Cemetery.
