Roxanna Ruth Schriver, 89, of Cranberry PA and formerly of Cambridge, died Friday (March 26, 2010) at U.P.M.C. Northwest after a lengthy illness. She was born December 19, 1920 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Phillip H. Rice Sr. and Roxanna (St. Clair) Rice. Mrs. Schriver was employed by Phillips Products and later retired from the State of Ohio, where she had been a secretary for many years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Cambridge. She was both a founding member and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary #28. Mrs. Schriver was a 1938 graduate of New Concord High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. Raymond Rice and Phillip H. Rice II; a nephew, Phillip H. Rice III; and two nieces, Mary Ruth Gognat and Roxanna Elizabeth Hutchison. She is survived by a nephew, Raymond Rice of Cranberry PA; a niece, Deborah Rice of Cambridge; and numerous great-nieces & great-nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (March 30, 2010) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Spain officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
