Roy F. Crook

Roy F. Crook, 85, of New Concord, died Friday (April 10, 2015) at Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. He was born October 15, 1929 in Portersville, son of the late William Crook and Anna Mae (Trussell) Crook. Mr. Crook retired from General Electric of New Concord, where he had been a certified welder. He was a 1947 graduate of McLuney High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Young) Jenkins-Crook, who died in 1990. They were married July 6, 1949. Also deceased is a sister, Vera; and two brothers, Fred and Bill. He is survived by his adopted daughter, Patty Archer; his companion and caregiver, Donna Strauss; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. No services will be held at this time. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Portersville, at a later date.
